Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)

Blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid surgery, is a cosmetic procedure that removes excess skin, fat, or muscle from the upper and/or lower eyelids. It rejuvenates the eye area, reduces puffiness, treats drooping lids, and can even improve vision if sagging lids obstruct sight.

Types of Blepharoplasty :

    • Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty– Removes sagging skin and fat that may cause hooding or a tired appearance.
    • Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty– Targets under-eye bags, puffiness, or fine wrinkles.
    • Combined Upper & Lower Blepharoplasty– Performed together for a complete eye rejuvenation.
    • Functional Blepharoplasty– Done for medical reasons when droopy eyelids affect vision.

Indications :

    • Drooping upper eyelids (ptosis)
    • Puffiness or eye bags under the eyes
    • Tired, aged eye appearance
    • Wrinkles or loose skin around the eyes
    • Obstructed peripheral vision due to eyelid sagging

How the Procedure is Done:

    • Typically performed under local anesthesia with or without sedation
    • Upper eyelid: An incision is made in the natural crease to remove skin and fat
    • Lower eyelid: Incision is made below the lash line or inside the lid (transconjunctival approach)
    • Skin is sutured precisely to minimize scarring
    • Surgery takes 45 minutes to 2 hours

FAQs

Is blepharoplasty permanent?

Yes, the results are long-lasting, especially for fat and skin removal. Ageing may continue, but the effects last many years.

Will there be visible scars?

Scars are hidden in natural creases or inside the lid and fade significantly with time.

Is the surgery painful?

Most patients experience minimal discomfort, which is easily managed with cold compresses and pain relief.

Can I wear contact lenses or eye makeup post-surgery?

Contacts can usually be resumed after 2–3 weeks; makeup after about 10–14 days if healing is smooth.

When can I return to work?

Most patients return to social or work life in 7–10 days.

Are the results natural-looking?

Absolutely. At Morph Aesthetic, we ensure results that are natural, subtle, and enhance your facial harmony, not alter it.
